Mazepin’s spokesman says no joint mgmt for Uralkali, UralChem
MOSCOW, Nov 17 (PRIME) -- Russian fertilizer producers Uralkali and UralChem are not considering merging their management teams, Rinat Gizatulin, spokesman for core owner of the two companies Dmitry Mazepin, like Kommersant business daily reported on Tuesday.
“This is incorrect. No merger of UralChem and Uralkali is on the agenda. Uralkali CEO Dmitry Osipov will actually leave his position, but he will remain within the company and receive new duties. He will also keep his chairmanship in the board of directors. UralChem CEO Sergei Momtselidze will remain in his position,” Gizatulin said.
Kommersant said that Mazepin wanted to restructure the management of his chemical assets by creating one management company for both Uralkali and UralChem by replacing the CEOs of the two companies.
